Organizational Performance – Leadership – Culture – Resilience

Dr John S. Bircham

B.Agr.Sc; M.Agr.Sc.(Hons); Ph.D. University of Edinburgh

John has worked with management systems for his entire working life, whether attempting to understand them or to re-engineer them to improve business efficiency and productivity. A management systems research scientist in his early working life, he first became involved in commerce over 30 years ago as a project manager and then management system consultant specializing in automation and change. A growing interest in the governance and management of risk led to his involvement in the emerging risk arena years later, where he developed and implemented major organizational risk, compliance  and assurance systems and projects. In more recent times his focus has been upon the creation and delivery of organizational learning and development programs for risk, resilience, leadership development and workplace innovation – programs that are designed to bridge the gap between theory and practice; programs designed for the workplace and not the lecture theatre.

A regular presented at international conferences on many aspects of risk and resiliency, he was a member of the editorial panel for the Australia and New Zealand Standard for Business Continuity Management – AS/NZS 5050:2010 Business Continuity Management. He is also a published author.
